I got my B.A. in Multilingual Communication in English and Spanish from Technische Hochschule Köln, Cologne, Germany. I received my M.A. in Intercultural Communication and European Studies from Hochschule Fulda University of Applied Sciences, Fulda, Germany.
I am currently a third-year Ph.D. candidate in the International Relations and National Security Studies Program at the University of Central Florida (UCF) with an interest in public perception of law enforcement and militarization of police.
My research focuses on the effects individuals’ cognitive style and ability have on forming opinions on police. I study this topic in the light of militarization of law enforcement in Latin America, which can be understood as (a) training police to a military standard, (b) assigning police tasks to the military, or both.
