Professor of political science at Texas State University.
He has published in journals such as Party Politics, World Development, Latin American Politics and Society, Review of International Political Economy, or Journal of Politics in Latin America. He is the author of Democracy without Parties in Peru (Palgrave, 2022). He is editor of the book State Society Relations in Guatemala: Theory and Practice (Rowman and Littlefield, 2023), as well as the forthcoming, Democratic Institutions in Guatemala: Theory and Practice (Rowman and Littlefield).
